We were looking for somewhere for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and came across Giraffe.

Formerly this was Tootsies, but Tootsies sold some of their venues out to Giraffe and we were lucky enough to get one in Norwich. It is situated just outside the Chapelfield shopping centre and has outside seating plus a balcony. We easily managed to get seated outside and the service was almost instant. There was a good selection of food on the menu from snacks to main courses including burgers, steaks, specials to sharing dishes, salads a kids menu and more.

Our waiter took our drinks order and the drinks came out quickly to our table. We decided to share some of the sharing dishes and had garlic bread which came out with a tomato salsa sauce on the side and the bread on a skewer with cheese in the middle of the bread - an unusual but very tasty presentation. We also had battered king prawns with a sweet chilli dip, deep fried onion rings with a BBQ sauce and crispy nachos with cheese, salsa, sour cream, guacamole with sweetcorn and jalapeno peppers.

The food was brought out quite quickly and was of a very good standard. The garlic bread and prawns were excellent and we could not fault any of the food or the service. Our waiter could not do enough for us, though was almost getting to the point of being a little bit over the top.

We wouldn't hesitate to go again or recommend Giraffe to anyone else, plus, you might find out some interesting facts about giraffes too!
