An evening of music making from around the world

Three acts bring an eclectic mix to Norwich Arts Centre Thurs 8th Dec 8pm -11pm entry £5/£3concs. Andy Kirkham, Swingball and Twisted Routes come to Norwich Arts Centre bar for an evening of music making from around the world . The evening includes swing jazz music, wild Eastern European tunes, Irish traditional tunes and music from Africa. Local guitarist Andy Kirkham plays a mix of solo tunes from Africa, Eastern Europe and home. Touching on Kora, Ud and Nitatiti music as well as traditional folk and blues. Andy has a unique and fluid style rarely heard on the guitar. Andy is later joined by local madcap five piece band 'Swingball' that play a jazzy selection of Swing, Eastern European and French tunes. Also playing are Norwich band Twisted Routes well known for their amazing playing of Irish traditional music.
